On this site the staff, and members will create and delegate crisis which are essentially just incidents between the different alignments, though there will also be plot crisis, which shall be staff created, all members should have a chance for side-plot for their own character development or even to move along their own plot that they have been working on. There are certain rules to follow when creating your crisis such as all crisis are death enabled automatically though crisis below B rank have a very low chance of death, anyone can elect to do any crisis but if you do a crisis you are not ready for the staff will make it that much harder on you (though the rewards will be that much greater if you survive).[break][break]
Anyone can create a crisis and as soon as it is approved by the staff they can be posted to find people to take on the crisis with them, however, unlike most sites What a Time requires a duality to missions that are taken, what this means is that if your mission is protecting a building than that means someone is trying to attack it. So the mission of protecting someone is also a mission for your opposition to target the building. The mission cannot be started until you have someone who can fill the role as the opposition if after three days you cannot find someone staff can fill in as an NPC, but under no circumstances should anyone ever NPC their own opposition for their crisis.[break][break]
The specifics vary with each crisis but it can range from a misunderstanding between two factions I.E the building asked the police force for assistance protecting their building, however, the building is a front for villains and some vigilantes have decided to clear it out. Whoever succeeds in their mission gets to decide what the truth is in that scenario, however, it could also be more sinister. Whatever the case may be the job cannot be resolved until the opposition is taken care of first. Both sides get rewards no matter what though the losers only get half of what the posted reward is. This can start rivalries between groups and individuals and is a great way to build up character development and interactions while still working on the site and rank goals.
D Rank[break]
Usually taken by to E and D ranked characters. They pose almost no risk to the character's life and usually consist of small time crimes like assault and robberies. These crises are usually done by people who cannot use their quirk too well which allows them more time to train and get their skills up. The reward for this is 170 xp and 170 dollars.[break][break]
C Rank[break]
Usually taken by D ranked or C-ranked characters. They are crisis with little to no chance of advanced quirk combat. Examples are guarding people, background investigations, eliminating or capturing villains, and capturing or suppressing wild animals. These crisis involve people who are more comfortable with their quirk but can barely cause life threaten damage. The reward for this is 255 xp and 255 dollars.[break][break]
B Rank[break]
Taken by experienced C rank or B rank characters. They are anticipated to involve combat with another advanced quirk user. Examples are guarding organizations, espionage, or killing another person. These missions are dangerous and involve a high risk of death if not careful. This crisis rewards 340 xp and 340 dollars.[break][break]
A Rank[break]
Taken by B rank or A rank characters, concerning, among other things, city-or state-level matters and threats. Examples are guarding VIPs or suppressing villain forces. These crisis are elite and can only be taken by the best of the best and sometimes even requires a team of them to get done. The rewards given to those who succeed are 420 xp and 420 dollars.[break][break]
S Rank[break]
These crises deserve A ranked characters and usually more than one, these crises concern world-level confidential matters. Examples are holding cities hostage, and assassinating world leaders. These crisis are the creme of the crop. Taking them should not be done lightly as anyone other than the best would almost certainly die completing these missions. These crises reward 510 xp and 510 dollars.
