In order to advance in skill here, one must partake in the training system, which is rather simple and easy to understand. Like most, modern RP sites, we work with an EXP system, meaning you gain EXP and then use it to purchase techniques. Where we differ is that we also have three other types of training methods that fall under the category of "Training Threads". These are the Solo Threads, the Group Threads, and the Special Threads. Each of these will be described in detail below, but if you still need more help understanding, you can PM a staff member. However, the XP amount needed to purchase things will not be placed within this thread.[break][break]
XP (aka "Experience") is the numerical points that each RP'er uses to purchase techniques. These points are not gained through regular posting and can only be gained through training threads or by completing crisis. For the most part, this is the simplest method for gaining techniques, but it is also the most trivial. This is because, in order for it to be challenging, the EXP that you gain has to be relatively low, or else you would be able to purchase techniques much too quickly and much too easily. However, Those threads that become harrowing and death-defying can be turned into training threads or even special threads after the fact if you believe that your character has been through enough to gain EXP.[break][break]
Solo Training - Solo Training Threads are the most basic form of training thread, and they serve, primarily, as a substitute for the EXP System. For those who grow weary of the numerical values and prefer to learn techniques through good ole RP'ing, this is the method for you. When learning a technique, you can learn it by studying a book or by studying under a teacher. This method can also be used to create techniques if you so choose, which will also bypass having to purchase your creations. However, if you create a technique that is not registered, you will still have to register it and have it subject to review. These threads may or may not be heavily scrutinized, though this mostly depends on your rank and the rank of the technique that you want to learn.[break][break]
Group Training - Group Training Threads are a form of Normal Training Thread that is likely to be most common among organizations and teams. These threads do not need a teacher or leader but can have one. While these threads can be used like Normal Threads, they are most useful for gaining EXP outside of a crisis. The methods of training are limitless, ranging from things such as Tree Climbing to sparring to tactical lessons about formations. When graded by staff, we will assess the quality of the training as well as the writing of those participating, and according to that, EXP will be awarded to all members with the addition of a group bonus.[break][break]
Special Training Threads - Special Threads are training threads reserved for special and/or exclusive things as well as ranking up your chart stats and quirk grade. This includes special moves as well as the only way to learn a special move based on the special move of someone else. These training threads will be the most heavily scrutinized, and they also come with the greatest requirements for completion. We expect both great quantity and quality when you pursue these threads, and as such, they are not for the faint of heart. If your thread is reviewed and it is deemed unworthy of the reward, it will be, as opposed to completely disregarded, seen as the first part of a series of training sessions that will lead up to the reward. Over the course of this period, you may even receive some pointers from staff based on mistakes that we saw you make, which should, in turn, make future endeavors easier. However, simply to clarify, this is not necessary if you wish to create your own special move or up your chart stats or your quirk grade; it is only necessary if you wish to learn a special move that is based on or works like another character special move directly from them. With their permission and help of course. Which isn't to say you couldn't have your character create it on their own without help it will just be harder and would still be a special training thread.[break][break]
