The limitations in question deal with techniques, support items, and familiars as well as the overall number that you can have for each. While this is for the sake of balance within the site, the standard is loose give or take. This is because it reflects only the average and not the exception, so there is a possibility that your character can circumvent the standard. However, such exceptions will be few.
