[nospaces] [attr="class","opmind"] [attr="class","opmindtop"] [attr="class","opmindtopp"] [attr="class","opmindtopleft"]11 [attr="class","opmindtopright"]Training System [attr="class","opmindtop2"]How you go about not sucking anymore [attr="class","opmindblurb"] [attr="class","opmindblurb1"] In order to advance in skill here, one must partake in the training system, which is rather simple and easy to understand. Like most, modern RP sites, we work with an EXP system, meaning you gain EXP and then use it to purchase techniques. Where we differ is that we also have three other types of training methods that fall under the category of "Training Threads". These are the Solo Threads, the Group Threads, and the Special Threads. Each of these will be described in detail below, but if you still need more help understanding, you can PM a staff member. However, the XP amount needed to purchase things will not be placed within this thread.[break][break] XP (aka "Experience") is the numerical points that each RP'er uses to purchase techniques. These points are not gained through regular posting and can only be gained through training threads or by completing crisis. For the most part, this is the simplest method for gaining techniques, but it is also the most trivial. This is because, in order for it to be challenging, the EXP that you gain has to be relatively low, or else you would be able to purchase techniques much too quickly and much too easily. However, Those threads that become harrowing and death-defying can be turned into training threads or even special threads after the fact if you believe that your character has been through enough to gain EXP.[break][break] Solo Training - Solo Training Threads are the most basic form of training thread, and they serve, primarily, as a substitute for the EXP System. For those who grow weary of the numerical values and prefer to learn techniques through good ole RP'ing, this is the method for you. When learning a technique, you can learn it by studying a book or by studying under a teacher. This method can also be used to create techniques if you so choose, which will also bypass having to purchase your creations. However, if you create a technique that is not registered, you will still have to register it and have it subject to review. These threads may or may not be heavily scrutinized, though this mostly depends on your rank and the rank of the technique that you want to learn.[break][break] - 10 post minimum
- 300 words per post (the word count and post are not heavily enforced so long as the post shows enough effort to actually learn what you were trying to learn)
- 5-10 bonus EXP for quality
- 5-10 bonus EXP for quantity
[break][break] Group Training - Group Training Threads are a form of Normal Training Thread that is likely to be most common among organizations and teams. These threads do not need a teacher or leader but can have one. While these threads can be used like Normal Threads, they are most useful for gaining EXP outside of a crisis. The methods of training are limitless, ranging from things such as Tree Climbing to sparring to tactical lessons about formations. When graded by staff, we will assess the quality of the training as well as the writing of those participating, and according to that, EXP will be awarded to all members with the addition of a group bonus.[break][break] - 5 Post Minimum (for each person involved)
- 500 Minimum Word Count (see word count and post addendum)
- 50 EXP Group Bonus
- 5-20 Bonus for Quality and/ or Quantity(Individual Basis)
[break][break] Special Training Threads - Special Threads are training threads reserved for special and/or exclusive things as well as ranking up your chart stats and quirk grade. This includes special moves as well as the only way to learn a special move based on the special move of someone else. These training threads will be the most heavily scrutinized, and they also come with the greatest requirements for completion. We expect both great quantity and quality when you pursue these threads, and as such, they are not for the faint of heart. If your thread is reviewed and it is deemed unworthy of the reward, it will be, as opposed to completely disregarded, seen as the first part of a series of training sessions that will lead up to the reward. Over the course of this period, you may even receive some pointers from staff based on mistakes that we saw you make, which should, in turn, make future endeavors easier. However, simply to clarify, this is not necessary if you wish to create your own special move or up your chart stats or your quirk grade; it is only necessary if you wish to learn a special move that is based on or works like another character special move directly from them. With their permission and help of course. Which isn't to say you couldn't have your character create it on their own without help it will just be harder and would still be a special training thread.[break][break] - 10 Minimum Post Count
- 1000 Minimum Word Count(see addendum)
- 30 - 70 EXP Bonus for Exceeding Word Count
- 5 - 30 EXP Bonus for Quality

Every parent Almost every parent some parents a few parents very few parents nowadays tell their children that they are special. In this thread we are those parents and you are those children, Not only are we here to tell you that you are special but we will tell you just how and why and to what extent you can be special. In this thread, we'll go over Special Traits. The staff has decided to broaden our horizons when it comes to STs. We encourage out of the box ST's such as an oration skill that can be used to manipulate the masses and things such as that. Whereas most basic combat STs have been phased out of existence.
The No-No's
Don't Use these they aren't special
Enhanced Bodily Functions - These types of ST's have been phased out as they fall under other portions of the character sheet like the physical prowess portion, things like endurance, speed, strength, flexibility and so forth, this also includes enhanced senses which are basically the five basic senses of sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste. However, some can fall into other categories like enhanced intelligence and being extremely dexterous Unless your enhanced bodily function comes from a quirk it should be noted in combat prowess if it does come from a quirk it will be in quirk prowess.[break][break]
Disclaimer - While these are examples meant to encompass every phased out ST staff reserves the right to tell any member that an ST they are attempting to create for their character would be classified as a Phased Out ST. From there, the member could attempt to integrate the ST into the character app and choose a new ST or ask for staff help in doing both.
Different Types
There are three
Personality Traits - Some of you may already be familiar with these kinds of STs. They would come in the form of special and unique things your character can do based on their personality traits. Things such as skillful oration through intelligence and charisma. Or seduction through an appealing physical appearance and a flirtatious personality. These are not martial skills directly but can be used in combat to further diversify yourself in combat so we all are not the same stock variety fighters based on the same combat fueled STs.[break][break]
Occupational Traits - These types of STs are relatively new, while they could be more combat orientated than the personality traits this is not always the case. This type of ST includes but is not limited to certain jobs such as being an interrogator or information gatherer or even crime boss or doctor. These traits or special abilities can also be everyday traits that normal humans have, things like being a chef or Blacksmith. characters with these type of STs have learned how to turn their non-combat related abilities into useful skills when in battle. These STs are designed so that even if they were non-combat occupations they could grant some degree of combat advantage.[break][break]
Aura Signature Trait - Aura Signature STs would be the term for any special ability that gives the character's pure unrestrained aura an effect. This can range from a number of unique uses such as affecting the environment when being released such as causing cracks in the ground, levitating small rocks or even causing the air itself to get dense, some of these are purely aesthetic. However, the person's aura could even take on the nature of the characters quirk, which could prove dangerous. In the canon, it would be things like All Might's symbol of peace that causes enemies to falter at the sight of him.
Writing Your ST
It gotta make sense
This is probably the most important bit of this whole thread. If for some reason when you read this thread and you forget everything else do not forget this part. When writing out STs everyone is prone to literary hyperbole, their characters are always one of the strongest or one of the fastest, etc, etc, etc. Here on What a Time, we call this flavor text and it in no way, shape, or form dictates the actual level of your ST. Each ST will be written like normal with the flavor text within it, however, after the flavor text, there will be an IC description with no added flavor text. The IC description of the ST will speak on how it matches up compared to other STs of the same type as well as how exactly it enhances the shinobi or what exactly it could do ICly. We will give an example:[break][break]
Lastly, we would like to mention the levels of ST. Each ST will be ranked either S, A, B, C, D, E now these ranks have specific meanings based on the rank of your character. S=Legendary A=Elite B=Advanced C=Average D=Below Average and E=worst you can be at your rank. That being said this site understands that not all infinities are equal, what this means is that an A ranked character with an A-ranked ST would not be equal to an E ranked character with the same ST also A ranked.

On this site the staff, and members will create and delegate crisis which are essentially just incidents between the different alignments, though there will also be plot crisis, which shall be staff created, all members should have a chance for side-plot for their own character development or even to move along their own plot that they have been working on. There are certain rules to follow when creating your crisis such as all crisis are death enabled automatically though crisis below B rank have a very low chance of death, anyone can elect to do any crisis but if you do a crisis you are not ready for the staff will make it that much harder on you (though the rewards will be that much greater if you survive).[break][break]
Anyone can create a crisis and as soon as it is approved by the staff they can be posted to find people to take on the crisis with them, however, unlike most sites What a Time requires a duality to missions that are taken, what this means is that if your mission is protecting a building than that means someone is trying to attack it. So the mission of protecting someone is also a mission for your opposition to target the building. The mission cannot be started until you have someone who can fill the role as the opposition if after three days you cannot find someone staff can fill in as an NPC, but under no circumstances should anyone ever NPC their own opposition for their crisis.[break][break]
The specifics vary with each crisis but it can range from a misunderstanding between two factions I.E the building asked the police force for assistance protecting their building, however, the building is a front for villains and some vigilantes have decided to clear it out. Whoever succeeds in their mission gets to decide what the truth is in that scenario, however, it could also be more sinister. Whatever the case may be the job cannot be resolved until the opposition is taken care of first. Both sides get rewards no matter what though the losers only get half of what the posted reward is. This can start rivalries between groups and individuals and is a great way to build up character development and interactions while still working on the site and rank goals.
Crisis Criteria
Not all Crisis are the same
D Rank[break] Usually taken by to E and D ranked characters. They pose almost no risk to the character's life and usually consist of small time crimes like assault and robberies. These crises are usually done by people who cannot use their quirk too well which allows them more time to train and get their skills up. The reward for this is 170 xp and 170 dollars.[break][break]
C Rank[break] Usually taken by D ranked or C-ranked characters. They are crisis with little to no chance of advanced quirk combat. Examples are guarding people, background investigations, eliminating or capturing villains, and capturing or suppressing wild animals. These crisis involve people who are more comfortable with their quirk but can barely cause life threaten damage. The reward for this is 255 xp and 255 dollars.[break][break]
B Rank[break] Taken by experienced C rank or B rank characters. They are anticipated to involve combat with another advanced quirk user. Examples are guarding organizations, espionage, or killing another person. These missions are dangerous and involve a high risk of death if not careful. This crisis rewards 340 xp and 340 dollars.[break][break]
A Rank[break] Taken by B rank or A rank characters, concerning, among other things, city-or state-level matters and threats. Examples are guarding VIPs or suppressing villain forces. These crisis are elite and can only be taken by the best of the best and sometimes even requires a team of them to get done. The rewards given to those who succeed are 420 xp and 420 dollars.[break][break]
S Rank[break] These crises deserve A ranked characters and usually more than one, these crises concern world-level confidential matters. Examples are holding cities hostage, and assassinating world leaders. These crisis are the creme of the crop. Taking them should not be done lightly as anyone other than the best would almost certainly die completing these missions. These crises reward 510 xp and 510 dollars.

As with the military systems in our universe, the military system of this universe consists of varying ranks. The purpose of this thread is to provide general knowledge for our member base concerning this organization. More so based on the general aspects of how the advancement system works throughout the ranks. We will be starting from the very bottom of the rung with E ranked characters and working our way up all the way to S ranked.
E to D
You Still Suck
The very first position held on site, this position varies greatly from those who cannot fight at all to those who can fight pretty well, however, they are in training and are very close to becoming a someone who should not be reckoned with. As such it makes sense that this rank would be the easiest and quickest to advance from, in order to advance all one has to do is learn and gain a working control over their quirk or main method of fighting. Once completed all the character in training has to do is find their teacher (whether be a parent or mentor or themselves) and learn a technique of the next rank. After learning the technique one must show mastery of the technique by using it in a thread during a stressful situation. After one must ask a staff member to look over their training and learning of the technique as well as the use of said skill in order to see if they actually do advance.
D to C
Average at Best
Once becoming D ranked the character will have officially started their journey to becoming someone of note. That being said, every D rank character in order to advance to the next rank will have to show their worth by chalking up an appropriate amount of crisis either responding to them or causing them. Once, at the very least, the minimum required crisis's has been completed the character can nominate himself for promotion to the staff. The staff will then NPC a crisis. The character does not have to succeed in the crisis just perform well enough so that the staff believes they deserve to advance.[break][break]
Requirements[break] 10 Successful D rank crisis[break] 5 Successful C rank crisis[break] Advance quirk to next rank[break] Learn 3 D rank techniques at the least[break] Tell staff that you are ready[break] Be C ranked in at least one stat in the table
C to B
You are actually good now
Upon advancement, to the rank of C, the character is actually considered to have considerable skill once the character has met all requirements they may go to staff to start an advancement crisis. During this crisis once has to succeed, however, that is not the all the staff has to believe that they performed well enough to advance to the next level.[break][break]
Requirements[break] Advance quirk rank[break] 10 C rank crisis[break] 5 B rank crisis[break] 1 A rank crisis for advancement[break] Be A rank in at least one chart stat
B to A
A Lot of people think this is the top
B ranked characters are highly trained and highly skilled. They have gained much insight into the world through their many experiences, they are relatively well known and considered to be quite dangerous in a fight. There are not many who travel up this far in the world due to the general danger and even fewer who journey past this, but those that do gain legends of their own. Once you meet the requirement you are to talk to staff to partake in a crisis so dangerous that there is a real threat of death.[break][break]
Requirements[break] 10 B rank crisis[break] 10 A rank crisis[break] Create your own super tech (S rank tech) or unique equipment (also S rank)[break] Go on S rank crisis and survive[break] Be A rank in at least two chart stats
A to S
Becoming a Legend
After becoming A ranked they are considered pretty much as badass as it gets, there is one more promotion to be had and that is becoming S ranked. This is the people of legend who seems to transcend humanity, getting to this level is not easy and is not for the faint of heart. To truly be this level of greatness you must do something that immortalizes you and changes the world.[break][break]
Requirements[break] 10 A rank crisis[break] 10 S rank crisis[break] Use your created tech or equipment and make it famous[break] Change the world and become known[break] Be S rank in at least two chart stats

[nospaces] [attr="class","opmind"] [attr="class","opmindtop"] [attr="class","opmindtopp"] [attr="class","opmindtopleft"]07 [attr="class","opmindtopright"]Conquest System [attr="class","opmindtop2"]You Keep What You Kill [attr="class","opmindblurb"] [attr="class","opmindblurb1"]
Here on WaT we allow members to take over pretty much whatever they have the balls to attempt to take over this is done by a show of martial might. This is usually used to take over unclaimed territory, however, the bolder members can attempt to take a territory that is controlled by a column of power or even take control other group territories up to and including even the entire nation. The way to take over the nation is to simply create a conquest thread (which acts as a special training) all this requires is to make the thread and put the [conquest] in the title. Once it is done anyone who wants to can challenge you, once the thread is posted the action cannot be taken back and those who own it can defend it with as many people as they wish though other can join the conquest in your defense if they so wish. NPC's are not allowed to engage in conquest battles. If there is no one to defend the area after 48hrs you may post again claiming the territory uncontested. While these threads are always Death Enabled that does not mean that someone has to die. The thread will be the individual or a group of people teaming up either setting up a base of operations to establish their own presence in a territory or taking over an already established territory by destroying the base of operations in the city.[break][break]
Each board that is controlled by a group needs at least one base of operations and can have up to three (with each one after the first needing a special thread to establish) the defenses for each base need to be mentioned beforehand. Meaning if you do not have a base defense thread at the time someone attacks you are considered to have an empty base with no defenses, these defenses are the only time NPC's can be in a conquest thread and they are considered e rank and very trash (easily defeated by any player character literally only good for killing time). These defenses can also be traps and weapons and don't have to be mook npcs. That being said territory can also be gained after peaceful negotiation.[break][break]
The conquest systems extends beyond just conquest threads for territory one can also take positions from another character this way. For example let's say we have a police force character that wants to be the head of the police force all one would have to do is challenge the head of the police force for their position. While the police force leader does not have to accept if the challenger is relatively strong and has a lot of influence themselves denying a request could cause his subordinates to lose faith in his strength and leadership which could result in a forced rebellion which can happen by the challenger getting other on his side and declaring war. War is a more active version of challenging where the challenger and those who have chosen to follow him attack the challenged (in this case the head of the police force) the police force head would then have to respond to a blatant attack like this. While the challenger does not need backers to declare war a lone member of an organization declaring war on the boss would be outnumbered and overwhelmed quite quickly. Like territory positions can also be passed on peacefully if one wishes.[break][break]
This system can also be used to forcibly take other people's support tools no matter if its a weapon or armor or even their money. This is done exactly how it sounds. During a thread with someone you can beat them up and take their stuff. This is extremely straight forward, however, because taking something off of someone's person can be considered god modding if one does not give them a chance to stop you it is only an attempt to take an item and the person who owns the item has a chance to defend against the theft. In these instances the attempted robbery will be rped out normally and if there is any issues with deciding who succeeded call for a staff member and they will decide based on what is most likely to happen based on all the characters involved as well as the quality of the writing done. Force is not the only way to take someone's things stealth can also be used, though the same rules apply. Also things can be peacefully given to someone else.[break][break]
Lastly quirk cultivation is a thing on this site. There are rare people in the world who know the ins and outs of quirks and how they work. These people are able to take quirks as well as give out quirks from others using various means (their own quirks, technology, surgery just to name a few). As of right now using a quirk is the only way to take a quirk from someone without them being recently dead and even with those quirks in order to cultivate a quirk from a live person it will need to be voluntary. Staff reserve the right to close this part of the system at any time because let's face it a site where there are a million people stealing quirks would get boring.[break][break]

[nospaces] [attr="class","opmind"] [attr="class","opmindtop"] [attr="class","opmindtopp"] [attr="class","opmindtopleft"]06 [attr="class","opmindtopright"]Robotics [attr="class","opmindtop2"]Niggas Got Robots [attr="class","opmindblurb"] [attr="class","opmindblurb1"] First and Foremost Shout out to the WitchDoctor for the general idea and table-work. Now to the info, Robots are used as weapons by many different people. They are most often humanoid-looking creations, but depending on the creator, can resemble anything. They can be fashioned in a manner that uses every part as a weapon, giving the user a myriad of ways to manipulate it. Robots are all range type weapons that can be used offensively, defensively or for supplementary reasons, and are controlled via a power source either internal and external. Based on their design and build their weakness is usually their joints though this is not always the case. Robots can be made from various materials and they don't always look like robots, really the sky is the limit within reason of course. Rules and RegulationsOtherwise They'd Rebel1.) All robots require a power source to use, no matter if its internal or external. Also there has to be a way to control said robot to do your bidding whether it is in their programming or a remote control or whatever.[break][break] 2.) Using a robot's weapons does not require any work on the users part. Unless the weaponry is manufactured in a way where it is required, in which case it would cost as much stamina as the movement itself would take. Also the same can be said for robots who could utilize the users quirk in someway (though this requires some kind of connection between user and robot).[break][break] 3.) No user may use more than ten robots at one time, while a character can have more for balance purposes no user will be able to fight using more than ten robots at a time.[break][break] 4.) Users have a limit to how many robots they can control per rank, this means D ranked characters can't control ten puppets from the start.[break][break] ROBOT CONTROL CAPABILITIES[break] * E-rank - 1 puppet[break] * D-rank - 2 puppets[break] * C-rank - 5 puppets[break] * B-rank - 8 puppets[break] * A-rank - 10 puppets[break] Robotics SkillsCuz not Everyone can be a Robot GeniusAll robots have some form of lag when responding to their user, this isn't often noticeable against normal people; however as one learns to increase their speed and reflexes the lag becomes less noticeable than before. Due to the nature of robotics, one's ability to effectively use robots is solely dependent on one's engineering skill. Naturally, the higher one's engineering skill, the better a user can perform and fight with their robots. This will be added as a Special Traits slot for the application for your character along with a ranking and a short description if you cannot think up a description just personalize what is below. Also while your rank in engineering will be E the below descriptions are based on the E ranked base ability per character rank.[break][break] - E: The user is new to the art of robotics and as such the movements of one's robot will be incredibly jerky and semi unresponsive. Controlling a robot at this stage is exceedingly difficult, and as such, engaging in combat with robots is practically impossible due to the sheer concentration required.[break]
- D: The user will have a harder time controlling their robot(s) because they are still new to robotics and often have less control of a robot than an experienced user. So naturally, the robot won't respond immediately making it more vulnerable to attacks. The user cannot focus very well while controlling the robot having to give it all their attention in order to make it respond properly.[break]
- C: The user has enough experience with their robots that lets them adapt to it, still not perfect at controlling their robots but they can still move them better than they could previously. They don't need to focus so much to make their robot respond, so the user will still be vulnerable while controlling there robot and often cannot move at their natural speed while using it. If the user does move they will be slowed if trying to control the puppet at the same time.[break]
- B: The user is fairly confident in their skill and they have gotten completely used to the lag that robotics have. They undergo the normal amount of focus and their robots seem to respond faster than they did at a lower ranks. They can also move around at normal speeds while focusing on their robots.[break]
- A: The user is now considered a master engineer; the lag between the user and their robot is practically invisible now that their robot are able to react on the same level as humans. They can easily dodge attacks and even kick away enemies with ease now. Controlling a robot is second nature so that if they aren't even hindering their focus. However, if the user does focus their robot will easily be able to push back anything assaulting the user. The lag is still noticeable and can be exploited if the user has more robots out but it is nearly impossible to get close. Many are advised to simply retreat when facing the user as most will fall to them. Even other engineers have learned to retreat after merely a few seconds of battle. Their robots are also very lifelike if the user wishes them to be, most assume they are humans until they enter battle.[break]
- S: The user has exceeded mastery, one's robots having become a true extension of the user's own body; the lag between the engineer and their robot is now non-existent, appearing as if the user's robots are moving seconds before the user has performed an action. robots at this stage are able to match even the most agile and strongest of elite characters; the user is able to engage in full-out combat and retain full control of all robots present on the battlefield. At this stage, engineers are truly legendary in their skill, being able to effectively fight and split their attention between numerous opponents at once, essentially becoming "a battalion of one."
The ChartYou Probably Guessed There Would be a ChartThe chart below designates the number of robots of each rank one can start with, depending on one's own character ranking. It should be noted that these numbers are what an engineer can start with, and like techniques, more can be created later on.[break][break] Character Rank | Robot (E) | Robot (D) | Robot (C) | Robot (B) | Robot (A) | Robot (S) |
| E | One | N/A | N/A | N/A | N/A | N/A |
| D | Two | One | N/A | N/A | N/A | N/A |
| C | Four | Three | Two | N/A | N/A | N/A |

Back to the action. As we all are probably aware by this point, shit blows up and to varying degrees here we will categorize and quantify the explosions. These explosions have ranges from a simple, singular explosion to city-wide destruction. That being said we got a chart to put everyone on the same page when it came to explosions and how powerful they are, this chart is based off the the ton of TNT system used in our world even though it makes no sense and explosions would be better based off of the Joules system but I am no scientist so I guess they know better. This system will serve to act as the baseline measurement for any and everything that involves explosions and will give a clear picture to everyone on just how damaging any explosion can be. [nospaces] [attr="class","opmind"] [attr="class","opmindtop"] [attr="class","opmindtopp"] [attr="class","opmindtopleft"]04 [attr="class","opmindtopright"]Combat Prowess [attr="class","opmindtop2"]The Fighty Parts [attr="class","opmindblurb"] [attr="class","opmindblurb1"]
To put this plain and simple because let's be real why would we need a long winded description on the fighty bits when we all been fighting in rps for years. Even if you are new this thread will be relatively easy to understand as it is pretty straight forward. There are only three parts and they are completely straight forward but I will get into them now.
Physical Prowess
All The Shit You Can Do Without a Quirk
In the interest of keeping it straight forward because it is 4am and I think I have the flu and I am tired we are just going to jump right into it. in this area you will put all the things you can do without your quirk. How fast you are, how strong you are, your reaction speed etc etc etc. This is also where you will talk about your ability to fight without using your quirk as well as your intelligence levels and pretty much anything you can physically do that is not tied to your quirk. However, depending on what your quirk does there are times where you will need to mention your quirk in this area but keep the mentions to what your quirk can do to a minimum.
Quirk Prowess
The Powers and What Not
In this section you would put quite the opposite of the things in the previous section. This is the fighting capabilities of your character when utilizing their quirk. The extent to which they can use it any limitations they have with it etc etc etc. This is not where you describe what your quirk is that is done elsewhere but it is where you describe you use of the quirk and your ability to use it both in fighting and in your normal day to day.
The Chart
Lorem Ipsum Dolor Sit Amet
The chart is self explanatory kinda. The chart while being a form of stats are not hard stats. The grades all correspond to skill level not capability. The grades scale depending on the skill level of the person meaning that an advanced level villain with an A rank in speed is not equal to a legendary level villain with an A rank in speed. What the grades mean is pretty simple. E = as low as possible while still being your rank, D = below average for your rank C = average for your rank B = slightly above average for your rank A = elite in your rank S = legendary in your rank.

[nospaces] [attr="class","opmind"] [attr="class","opmindtop"] [attr="class","opmindtopp"] [attr="class","opmindtopleft"]03 [attr="class","opmindtopright"]Affiliation System [attr="class","opmindtop2"]Police Force, Vigilante, Villain, Civilian [attr="class","opmindblurb"] [attr="class","opmindblurb1"]
The affiliation system is a simple one, all it tells staff is what side of the war (so to speak) you are on. The sides are simple enough The police force who "uphold justice" the vigilantes who "enforce their own justice" as well as the villains who "fight for themselves" and lastly the civilians who are sort of just around. While these are the basic descriptions anyone who lived in the world would know that while these systems for the most part are true they are much more complicated than that and people can flit between two or more of these affiliations at any given time. Affiliation as well as alignment and personality creates your persona which dictates how one reacts to things which when you come right down to it is all a person really is.
Police Force
The Authority Figures
The police force are the quote unquote good guys within the world. The uphold the law but also create the law. As such there are those within the police force who are genuine heroes, however, there are also those who joined in order to use the power of the police force to hide their corrupt ways. As the police force just obtained its power there is no real system in place to check corruption within the police force besides members of the police force themselves. Because of this there are people who should be labeled Villains that are known as Vigilantes that the police force "look the other way to" and Heroes that are labelled as villains simply because they got on the bad side of someone within the police force.
Vigilantes
They Prefer to be Called Heroes
In another world these guys would be called superheroes. But in this world they are called vigilantes. People who take justice into their own hands are considered criminals to the police force, though due to the amount of quirk related crimes society calls them heroes. Because of this the police force cannot move against vigilantes too aggressively, with the more popular a vigilante is the more likely they are allowed to do what they do. Because of this there are some vigilante who openly fight crime and bring their bad guys directly to the police force and the police force act as if they didn't see a thing. On the flip side however there are some that are wanted for questioning and rather not be seen by the police force or risk being chased. However, even the vigilante who is chased by the police force will get nothing more than a slap on the wrist or maybe some community service (in public at least) making them vastly different from villains.
Villains
The Good Ole Bad Guys Maybe
Villains will always be villains there isn't much to say about these guys. For one reason or another these people have turned to a life of crime and the police force aggressively hunts them. Though as stated before that is just a general statement and isn't always the case. Also some of the people in this category can be considered heroes in another world as all it truly takes to be labelled as a villain in this world is to piss of the police force (and the police force as a whole is known to have short tempers) it is quite easy to end up within this affiliation for trying to save the world.
Civilians
The Regular Niggas
Contrary to popular belief not having a quirk does not automatically put one into this category. Most humans in the world are in this category and the only thing that is required to be within this list is to not fit into any of the other list. We do not expect too many civilians on this site but for those that do make them let it be known that you will in no way be hampered in what you can and can't do based on choosing this affiliation.

More importantly, I have noticed that most people are unaware of the abilities a weapon or item should have based on its rank. Thankfully, thanks in no small part to a friend of mine that sometimes goes by WItch Doctor, I was able to come up with this nifty little chart. While puppets are considered weapons they do not follow these rules and will have their own rules with the Puppetry System. Da ChartCharts Be ChartingRank | Properties | # of abilities | E | Basic types of equipment that generally consists of basic guns, knives, knuckle dusters, and grenades and armors. | N/A | D | This type of equipment is often times larger and more durable than E-ranks. They still, however, are marked by their generally low quality and lack of comparable strength to other weapons. While they can have abilities the abilities themselves are usually weak in comparison. | 1 | C | This type of equipment is generally both larger and of better quality than those below it in rank. Their concepts are mostly basic and they are usually made from normal materials such as steel or iron. Also includes complex weapons and trinkets and suits or armors that would otherwise require custom fitting to use. | 2 | B | It is at this rank that equipment begins to shine in terms of ability, as such equipment of this level have two distinct pathways they can follow in terms of abilities. The first of these is quite simple in concept but incredibly powerful in application. At this level a weapon is capable of being made to work with one's quirk; this, of course, means that the weapon is capable of being utilized in higher ranking techniques which can extensively augment the power of the said equipment. Equipment of this rank is allowed to be constructed of more advanced materials and by extension possess a wider range of capabilities, such as hidden compartments or otherwise useful tricks and gadgets. | 3 | A | Equipment at this rank begin to become truly advanced. They are able to be both durable while being made to uniquely work with one's quirk to a higher degree and could even supplement the quirk and advance it. As a result of their advanced level, they are able to possess high level abilities similar to that of various other techniques of equivalent rank. These pieces of equipment can be made of of advanced or rare materials. | 4 | S | Equipment of this rank begin to infringe upon the realm of legendary as all things at this rank are classed. As such, equipment at this rank can be nigh on indestructible while possessing fantastical abilities, sometimes multiples of abilities, but within a reasonable set of boundaries. These weapons can be pretty much anything imaginable; provided they are not completely over-powered. They can be made from complex, high grade materials, that can empower one's quirk to new heights while also seemingly morphing into something much greater. That being said the abilities and components of S-Rank equipment must be both reasonable and understandable. | 5 |

[nospaces] [attr="class","opmind"] [attr="class","opmindtop"] [attr="class","opmindtopp"] [attr="class","opmindtopleft"]01 [attr="class","opmindtopright"]Alignment System [attr="class","opmindtop2"]Because Good and Evil Just Isn't Enough [attr="class","opmindblurb"] [attr="class","opmindblurb1"]
A creature's general moral and personal attitudes are represented by its alignment: lawful good, neutral good, chaotic good, lawful neutral, neutral, chaotic neutral, lawful evil, neutral evil, or chaotic evil. These are the natural breakdown of the alignments and for each one, it has its own title to make it easier to type up and remember. [break][break]
An alignment is a tool for developing your character's identity. It is not a straitjacket for restricting your character. Each alignment represents a broad range of personality types or personal philosophies, so two characters of the same alignment can still be quite different from each other. In addition, few people are completely consistent.[break][break]
Good characters and creatures protect innocent life. Evil characters and creatures debase or destroy innocent life, whether for fun or profit. "Good" implies altruism, respect for life, and a concern for the dignity of sentient beings. Good characters make personal sacrifices to help others. "Evil" implies hurting, oppressing, and killing others. Some evil creatures simply have no compassion for others and kill without qualms if doing so is convenient. Others actively pursue evil, killing for sport or out of duty to some evil deity or master.[break][break]
People who are neutral with respect to good and evil have compunctions against killing the innocent but lack the commitment to make sacrifices to protect or help others. Neutral people are committed to others through personal relationships. Being good or evil can be a conscious choice. For most people, though, being good or evil is an attitude that one recognizes but does not choose. Being neutral on the good-evil axis usually represents a lack of commitment one way or the other, but for some, it represents a positive commitment to a balanced view. While acknowledging that good and evil are objective states, not just opinions, these folk maintain that a balance between the two is the proper place for people, or at least for them.[break][break]
Lawful characters tell the truth, keep their word, respect authority, honor tradition, and judge those who fall short of their duties. Chaotic characters follow their consciences, resent being told what to do, favor new ideas over tradition, and do what they promise if they feel like it. "Law" implies honor, trustworthiness, obedience to authority, and reliability. On the downside, lawfulness can include close-mindedness, reactionary adherence to tradition, judgmentalness, and a lack of adaptability. Those who consciously promote lawfulness say that only lawful behavior creates a society in which people, can depend on each other and make the right decisions in full confidence that others will act as they should. "Chaos" implies freedom, adaptability, and flexibility. On the downside, chaos can include recklessness, resentment toward legitimate authority, arbitrary actions, and irresponsibility. Those who promote chaotic behavior say that only unfettered personal freedom allows people to express themselves fully and lets society benefit from the potential that its individuals have within them.[break][break]
Someone who is neutral with respect to law and chaos has a normal respect for authority and feels neither a compulsion to obey nor a compulsion to rebel. She is honest but can be tempted into lying or deceiving others. Devotion to law or chaos may be a conscious choice, but more often it is a personality trait that is recognized rather than being chosen. Neutrality on the lawful-chaotic axis is usually simply a middle state, a state of not feeling compelled toward one side or the other. Some few such neutrals, however, espouse neutrality as superior to law or chaos, regarding each as an extreme with its own blind spots and drawbacks. Nine distinct alignments define all the possible combinations of the lawful-chaotic axis with the good-evil axis. Each alignment description below depicts a typical character of that alignment. Remember that individuals vary from this norm and that a given character may act more or less in accord with his or her alignment from day to day. Use these descriptions as guidelines, not as scripts.
Crusader
Lawful Good
A lawful good character acts as a good person is expected or required to act. He combines a commitment to oppose evil with the discipline to fight relentlessly. He tells the truth, keeps his word, helps those in need, and speaks out against injustice. A lawful good character hates to see the guilty go unpunished.
Benefactor
Neutral Good
A chaotic good character acts as his conscience directs him with little regard for what others expect of him. He makes his own way, but he's kind and benevolent. He believes in goodness and right but has little use for laws and regulations. He hates it when people try to intimidate others and tell them what to do. He follows his own moral compass, which, although good, may not agree with that of society.
Rebel
Chaotic Good
A chaotic good character acts as his conscience directs him with little regard for what others expect of him. He makes his own way, but he's kind and benevolent. He believes in goodness and right but has little use for laws and regulations. He hates it when people try to intimidate others and tell them what to do. He follows his own moral compass, which, although good, may not agree with that of society.
Judge
Lawful Neutral
A lawful neutral character acts as law, tradition, or a personal code directs her. Order and organization are paramount to her. She may believe in personal order and live by a code or standard, or she may believe in order for all and favor a strong, organized government.
Undecided
True Neutral
A neutral character does what seems to be a good idea. She doesn't feel strongly one way or the other when it comes to good vs. evil or law vs. chaos. Most neutral characters exhibit a lack of conviction or bias rather than a commitment to neutrality. Such a character thinks of good as better than evil, after all, she would rather have good neighbors and leaders than evil ones. Still, she's not personally committed to upholding good in any abstract or universal way. Some neutral characters, on the other hand, commit themselves philosophically to neutrality. They see good, evil, law, and chaos as prejudices and dangerous extremes. They advocate the middle way of neutrality as the best, the most balanced road in the long run.
Free Spirit
Chaotic Nuetral
A chaotic neutral character follows his whims. He is an individualist first and last. He values his own liberty but doesn't strive to protect others' freedom. He avoids authority, resents restrictions, and challenges traditions. A chaotic neutral character does not intentionally disrupt organizations as part of a campaign of anarchy. To do so, he would have to be motivated either by good (and a desire to liberate others) or evil (and a desire to make those different from himself suffer). A chaotic neutral character may be unpredictable, but his behavior is not totally random. He is not as likely to jump off a bridge as to cross it.
Dominator
Lawful Evil
A lawful evil villain methodically takes what he wants within the limits of his code of conduct without regard for whom it hurts. He cares about tradition, loyalty, and order but not about freedom, dignity, or life. He plays by the rules but without mercy or compassion. He is comfortable in a hierarchy and would like to rule, but is willing to serve. He condemns others not according to their actions but according to race, religion, homeland, or social rank. He is loath to break laws or promises. This reluctance comes partly from his nature and partly because he depends on order to protect himself from those who oppose him on moral grounds. Some lawful evil villains have particular taboos, such as not killing in cold blood (but having underlings do it) or not letting children come to harm (if it can be helped). They imagine that these compunctions put them above unprincipled villains. Some lawful evil people and creatures commit themselves to evil with a zeal like that of a crusader committed to good. Beyond being willing to hurt others for their own ends, they take pleasure in spreading evil as an end unto itself. They may also see doing evil as part of a duty to an evil deity or master.
Malefactor
Neutral Evil
A neutral evil villain does whatever she can get away with. She is out for herself, pure and simple. She sheds no tears for those she kills, whether for profit, sport, or convenience. She has no love of order and holds no illusion that following laws, traditions, or codes would make her any better or nobler. On the other hand, she doesn't have the restless nature or love of conflict that a chaotic evil villain has. Some neutral evil villains hold up evil as an ideal, committing evil for its own sake. Most often, such villains are devoted to evil deities or secret societies.
Destroyer
Chaotic Evil
A chaotic evil character does whatever his greed, hatred, and lust for destruction drive him to do. He is hot-tempered, vicious, arbitrarily violent, and unpredictable. If he is simply out for whatever he can get, he is ruthless and brutal. If he is committed to the spread of evil and chaos, he is even worse. Thankfully, his plans are haphazard, and any groups he joins or forms are poorly organized. Typically, chaotic evil people can be made to work together only by force, and their leader lasts only as long as he can thwart attempts to topple or assassinate him.

This thread will give you a brief overview of the Four Corners of Evil. How they got their start their mantra their requirements for joining and even their members. However, because I did not wish to dictate all of this myself (there was a time where I was) the names and overviews will be created by whoever wishes to lead each group so for now these sections will be left blank.[break][break]
In order to become the leader of one of the Four Corners all that is required is to make the gang and get it accepted before anyone else. In order to join one must contact the leader OOCly if they wish to start out as a member, or make an IC meeting happen in order to join ICly. Each gang leader has complete say over what their gang is about and how it's run and what members if any it takes on.

Undying Predators
Northern Gang tight-knit run by Chaosmonger
Although this gang runs the entirety of the criminal underworld within the north it only has two members with the second being fairly new. This is because in order to join one must be completely ok with chaos as that is the mantra of the gang. To be the freest and to have the most fun which consists of plunging the world into chaos by any means. One does not even truly need to be a villain to fit the bill they just need to wish to sow chaos.[break][break]
There is no real hierarchy as even though Chaosmonger is the leader he does not give orders and would just as much listen to any plan one of his members had. They are all equal in chaos and just because he is the leader does not make him any more important than anyone else, he has said multiple time that in the case of his capture he should be forgotten about and a new leader can be chosen or they can just continue to do their own thing without a leader, same for if he dies.[break][break]
The price of admittance is to share your quirk with Chaosmonger as he has a quirk accumulation quirk.
