Cruel Sun is considered a fire-based emitter Quirk however unlike other fire based quirks it doesn’t produce the quintessential flames. Instead, Cruel Sun enables the user to passively, create, store and manipulate solar energy and the heat associated with it. Cruel sun is unique nature as it is commonly passed down through the generation, versus other quirks that are subject to random mutations or being totally different than the user’s parents. [break] Being an A classed Quirk, Hollister is able to create visible waves of heat that move through the air similar to ocean waves; to beams of pure solar energy. At its current level Cruel sun can be used to create golf ball sized stars to localized draughts and even solar storms to disrupt electrical fields. His quirk allows him to create temperatures that can melt weapons and armours should they be exposed for extended periods of time. Higher temperatures are risky, as they release the stored energy Hollister’s body has created, along with increasing his body temperature significantly. If Hollister uses to much energy his quirk will fail indefinitely, if he raises his body temperature to high he will collapse due to heat stroke, which can be fatal. Note: When his powers are in use, Hollister's skin becomes a black soot like shade, resembling a sunspot.
